Mark Revill - Yondan - Chief Instructor
Mark initially trained in Shotokan Karate for a couple of years at university. He later trained in Wado Ryu Karate for around 4 years and also studied Cheng Man Ching style Tai Chi Chuan for both health and martial application for around 8 years.
Mark took up Yoshinkan Aikido at Goryukan Belper on Sunday, 1st March 2009 the day on which the dojo opened. He has been a stalwart of the club ever since and graded to Shodan (1st Dan) on Sunday, 22nd December 2013. He was also awarded his Level 6 (Dai Roku) instructor’s certificate at the same time.
During Miranda Sensei’s visit in September of 2015 Mark was promoted to Nidan (2nd Dan) and level 5 (Dai Go) instructor.
Mark received his Sandan (3rd Dan) and level 4 (Dai Yon) instructors certificate from Hennessy Sensei in October 2017.
Mark received his Yondan (4th Dan) and level 3 (Dai San) instructors certificate from Hennessy Sensei in October 2019.
